Under local anaesthesia, the titanium implant is gently placed into the jawbone. The procedure is comfortable and typically completed in under 90 minutes.
Healing & Final Crown
After a healing period for the implant to integrate, we fit your custom-made crown or bridge, completing your restored, natural-looking smile.
The Procedure
What to Expect
Prior to Treatment
Attend a consultation to assess bone density and gum health. Inform us of any medications or medical conditions. Avoid eating for two hours before your appointment if sedation is planned, and arrange for someone to accompany you home.
Implant Placement
Under local anaesthesia, a small opening is made in the gum and the titanium implant is precisely placed into the jawbone. The procedure is comfortable and typically takes 60–90 minutes. A temporary restoration may be fitted where appropriate.
Healing & Aftercare
Mild swelling and tenderness for a few days is normal. Stick to soft foods for a week and avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours. Over 3–6 months the implant integrates with the bone, after which your permanent crown is fitted.
